About Me

I spent the first eight years of my career working as an editor at magazines like Good Housekeeping, Fitness, and Shape. I loved my job, but was feeling ready to leave New York and my 180-square-foot studio. Having seen enough coworkers and friends make the transition to freelance writing, I decided to give it a shot and see where it took me.

That was in 2011. Since switching to the freelance side of things (and moving to Chicago!), I've been able to write for dream publications and explore different kinds of content creation. I've had work published in Real Simple, O The Oprah Magazine, Dr. Oz The Good Life, Prevention, Men’s Health, Self, Shape, Fitness, Redbook, Health, Whole Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Psychology Today, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Chicago, Good Housekeeping, and more. I have also managed corporate blogs for a major health insurance company, created content for Fortune 500 companies, and written blogs for well-known lifestyle brands. I mostly focus on health and wellness, but also write about finances, relationships, travel, career, entrepreneurship, the health care industry, and more.
